Lilyvilla Garden

Create a pan-asian/tropical refuge for gardening, relaxing and entertaining.

Large almost imposing Musa basjoo (chinese banana) line the entry of the garden. These plants compress the space and guide the eye to the gravel terrace ahead. The simple lines of the gravel terrace and limited plant palate creates visual and physical pause which allows other views into the garden. Two pathways lead to additional seating areas. A steel hut/bench takes advantage of the late afternoon sun which backlights large textural plantings.
